Market Update

Cattle & Beef Cutout: Cattle prices traded down $1-$2 to start this week. We have officially started the dog days of summer with beef demand curtailing and beef prices dropping sharply. The overall impact of the economy is also reducing demand. The Choice cut out dropped $10/cwt this week. Packer's margins are being squeezed as we hit this period of reduced seasonal demand.
